A dream
By Daniel Torres
Translated by Freda Barron
You have been an old path I’ve enjoyed walking.
I do not regret having seen your trails,
your mountains.
Of waking up one day in your cold forests
and some nights in your hot deserts.
I do not regret having tasted the fruits of your tropical forest,
or the waters of your springs.
The only thing I regret is that it was only a dream.
