This year’s Art Walk in Carbondale on June 4 drew more than 100 art enthusiasts and proved to be a resounding success. Participants enjoyed ideal weather as they followed a thoughtfully designed route through the heart of town, discovering a diverse collection of artwork displayed along an easy-to-navigate path.

One of the event’s highlights was the opportunity to meet many of the featured artists. Visitors gained valuable insight into the creative processes as artists shared the inspiration and techniques behind their work. The presentations concluded with question-and-answer sessions, giving attendees a chance to engage directly with the artists.

The exceptional talent and creativity showcased throughout the walk made for a memorable experience. Those who were unable to attend are encouraged to take a stroll through town and view the “Art Around Town” installations firsthand.

Special thanks go to the Carbondale Public Art Commission (CPAC) for organizing and presenting this inspiring community event.

This year’s event was put together by CPAC members Michelle Shaver, Brian Colley, Frank Nadell, Julie Little, Chair Lesia Rehl, Vice Chair Michael Stout, Town Liaison Laurie Lindberg, and Board of Trustees Liaison Ross Kribbs.
