Dear Editor: Two months ago a group of four students from Carbondale Middle School started their journey to a state wide competition in Denver. This idea started as a question: how can we best help the immigrant community in Carbondale?

Dear Editor: I propose we build a wall along our southern border. No, not the national border to keep out Mexicans, but Colorado’s southern border to keep out Texans.

Dear Editor: An advocacy group proposing appropriate and sustainable trail alignment in the Crystal River Valley was formally announced last week at the Crystal Caucus meeting in Redstone.

Dear Editor: The environment is deteriorating. This is not merely a popular opinion; this is a fact. The environment is deteriorating, and this is in large part due to human interaction with the environment. We have made a mess.

Dear Carbondale: Last week I was honored to attend the Colorado Creative Industries Summit in Breckenridge. I wasn’t able to attend the summit in Carbondale much last year because I was on the Tiny DeTour which was happening in conjunction in the little park on Fourth and Main.

Dear Editor: It is with great gratitude that we write this letter on behalf of Carbondale Middle School eighth-graders and their teachers to the many businesses in the valley that allowed students to gain an extremely memorable real-world experience in various careers on Friday, May 12th.

Dear Editor: An 8:30am start, coffee, pastries, fruit, rock bars, loppers, pole saws, waders, willows, award-winning bread pudding and more.

To Carbondale Fire Chief Ron Leach and Deputy Chief Rob Goodwin: I am so grateful to you and all your crew who responded so quickly to the fire at 858 Garfield on Thursday.

Dear Editor: At the May 11th Roaring Fork Transportation Authority (RFTA) session chaired by the befuddled and unprofessional RFTA Chairman George Newman, RFTA CEO Dan Blankenship brought up the subject of adding electric buses to the bus fleet.
