Amid brisk spring temperatures, around 175 runners took to slick trails on May 17 for the Mt. Sopris Runoff, 28-kilometer and 10-mile trail races on the “Up & Over” single track trail from from Carbondale’s Flying Dog Ranch to Basalt’s Rock Bottom Ranch. Joe DeMoor, from Carbondale, won the 28k in 1 hour, 54 minutes and 1 second. Rock Bottom Ranch Livestock Manager Cameron MacKenzie won the 10-mile in 1 hour, 25 minutes and 24 seconds.
