Nací en Aspen, estudié en Basalt, vivo en Carbondale y hago la mayoría de mis compras en Glenwood. Me gradué en la Universidad de Colorado, Boulder con una licenciatura en Relaciones Internacionales, licenciatura en Español y una especialización en Negocios y Ciencias Políticas.

Mi familia ha vivido en el valle por mas de 40 años y me siento afortunada por haber crecido en un hogar multicultural ya que la familia de mi mamá es de Guatemala y la de mi papá de México. Siempre me animaron a viajar, a probar cosas nuevas y a formar parte de algo más grande que yo misma.

Dicen que se necesita todo un pueblo para criar a un niño y eso no podría ser más cierto en mi caso. Trabajar con El Sol del Valle me ha dado la oportunidad de retribuir a la comunidad que me ha formado como la persona que soy hoy.

I was born in Aspen, went through the school system in Basalt, live in Carbondale and do most of my shopping in Glenwood. I graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder with a BA in International Affairs, BA in Spanish and a double minor in Business and Political Science. 

My family has been in the valley for over 40 years and I feel fortunate for being raised in a multicultural home being that my mom’s family is from Guatemala and my father’s family is from Mexico. My upbringing has always encouraged me to travel, try new things, and be part of something bigger than myself. 

They say that is takes a village to raise a child and that couldn’t be more true for me. Working with the El Sol Del Valle has given me the opportunity to give back to the community that has shaped me to the person I am today.
