Spring sports for Colorado high schools are winding down over the next few weeks, as Roaring Fork High School’s girls lacrosse, girls soccer, and baseball teams aim to secure spots in the postseason playoffs.

Leading the way with a good shot at a state title run is the combined Roaring Fork-Basalt-Glenwood-CRMS girls lacrosse team, which remained ranked No. 3 among Class 4A teams coming into the week.

The Rams stood at 11-2 overall and 7-2 in the 4A Mountain East League, behind only Battle Mountain, which retains the top ranking in the state at 13-0.

On senior night in front of the home fans on Thursday, April 23, Roaring Fork won a crucial 12-8 decision over league foe Aspen. Senior Jordyn Miller collected five points (three goals and two assists), while three points each came from senior Julianna Pittz (three goals) and sophomores Eva Feinsinger (two goals, one assist) and Kayla Steele (one goal, two assists).

The team was at Summit Wednesday night (game result not available for this report). They were to play at Denver North on Friday, ahead of the 4A playoff seedings and pairings to be announced on Sunday, May 3.
