Watercolor for Wellness with Sarah Uhl: Making Time for Play

Playfulness is a vital aspect of wellness! This three hour workshop is an opportunity to flex your playfulness muscles through watercolor painting. Join local artist Sarah Uhl for this intro to watercolor painting workshop with an emphasis on the more whimsical and imaginative side of things. We will be painting both indoors in the tea room and outdoors in the peace garden, noticing what inspires us in nature and about ourselves.
No previous painting experience necessary. Just come with an open mind! All participants will receive their own mini-palette of handmade Greenleaf Blueberry paints to use in class and keep for future creations. All other supplies will be provided.
Bio: A self taught artist from Carbondale, Colorado. Sarah uses art as a tool to convey environmental and humanitarian messages. Her whimsical style and deep personal connection to nature draw people into her creations on an emotional level. Sarah uses diverse mediums, including illustration, watercolor paintings, live art performances, map making, writing, and poetry. Sarah is motivated by her own relationship to nature. She aims to put her passion into action (through art) and inspire something similar in those who enjoy her works.
