Meeting Wholeness in the Wilderness

Meeting ourselves as Whole and living from that place is our birth-rite. This rite is sometimes veiled by the pressure of a culture that has ignored aspects of wholeness — such as death and darkness, birth and aliveness, play & innocence, and initiation & purpose. Reclaiming our wholeness is accessible through our meeting with the natural world; in such a way, we meet the wilderness of our heart — the place of natural beauty & purpose — beyond any cultural masks or assumed responsibilities.

In this weekend immersion we will contact wholeness by exploring the four shields of human psyche with nature — specifically the primary, current shield we are each working with and any obstacles and gateways within the shield. Our time together with the land will be taken up with medicine walks, council, music, art, and relating to the wilderness.

This weekend immersion will take place with the Ragged Wilderness. Participants provide their own simple food and gear for 3 days & 2 nights. We will rendezvous at 10 AM on Friday, May 18th in Redstone, CO and then head to a remote camping site near Marble, CO. The site is accessible by car. We will conclude on Sunday, May 20th at 5 PM.
