Hanging Lake Volunteer Trail Project

Have you ever wanted to experience Hanging Lake without the crowds? Want to take a swing at restoring this heavily impacted trail? Our annual Hanging Lake trail project is coming up soon, and it’s the best chance to give back to one of Colorado’s most popular trails while also earning VIP backstage passes as a volunteer. On September 22nd, only volunteers for this project are allowed on the trail, giving you exclusive access to this Glenwood Canyon treasure.

Join RFOV and our partners U.S. Forest Service – White River National Forest and Forest Conservancy to help with everything from stone steps to trail restoration. And at the end of the day, you’ll get free dinner and drinks to celebrate your hard work.
