Manitou nips Roaring Fork 56-54

Manitou Springs slipped past Roaring Fork High School 56-54 in the 3A basketball playoffs on Saturday, sending the Rams home after a first round win over Denver Manual.
Manitou jumped out to a 15-8 lead to start the game, but the Rams chipped away for the rest of the game, out scoring Manitou 23-16 in the fourth quarter.
In other Western Slope League action, Western Slope tournament winner Coal Ridge was tripped up 61-59 by Sterling.
